Terms of Use

Edit as much as you like, but don't remove any credits present. They are the small © symbols. Leave them alone. You may change the color to match your custom palette for your carrd but do not make them invisible or hard to see.
Don't claim as your own work OR use this template as a base for a different template OR use it for any commissions, paid or not. If you use this template, I don't care how much you edit it, go wild, but the credit has to stay intact and you cannot claim it as your own.
Do not use to promote illegal, harmful, or hateful content. No burn books, no hate blogs, no callout blogs, nothing of the sort.

How to Add More Muse Bios

At the bottom of the previous muse info section (should be the very bottom of the carrd unless you add other things), add a new #sectionbreak and name it what you wish. If you don't know how to do that, you can just copy the #muse1 break but you MUST rename it. Every section must have an individual name to link to, even if you just go with something simple like #muse1 #muse2 #muse3, so on and so forth.
Directly below that, add a scroll point ( the yellow line ), or as mentioned above, copy the previous scroll point and rename it if you don't know how to set one up.
Copy everything between #muse1 and your new section and drag everything into place. Make sure you highlight the individual containers to delete instead of each individual element as that will save lots of time by copying and moving things all at once. If done right, you should only have to copy / move four things for each new muse you add (the title + two sections + the return button), unless you also need to copy the section breaks.
Link to the new muse bio wherever you wish. If you link within the carrd itself, such as linking to it from the muse roster here, then you can just link with #whateveryounamedthis, but if you link outside of the carrd (i.e. from tumblr) then you need to put the full link. So your link would be ( https://yourcarrdname.carrd.co/#whateveryounamedthis ).

How to Add Muses to the Roster

The muses are divided into rows of three. There is a new container for every row to prevent uneven spacing. To add more muses, you need to duplicate the container as a new one instead of adding to the same one, keeping only to a row of three per container.
Make a copy of the image and description sections and move them into place. There should only be two things to copy per new muse.
If a row has an empty space with no muse, click on the container, select the column that is empty (left, middle, or right) and check the box that says "use as spacer". If you have two muses in a row instead of three and want them to center, delete the empty column and the other two will adjust automatically. If you need to re-add the column later when adding another muse, just click "add column" and the sizes should also automatically adjust in that case as well.

How to Add More Categories

Make a new yellow scroll point and place it between the last category container and the dividing line before the "scroll to top" button, or wherever you want your new category to go if not at the bottom. Give the scroll point a unique name.
Copy a box with the category title and a box with the section of muses in it and move them below the new scroll point you have just made.
Click the category buttons at the top, add a new button, and link it to the scroll point you just made. You can rearrange the buttons if the order of the categories has changed.

Image Sizing

The banner on the front page is most suited for images at a 3:1 or 2:1 ratio depending on personal preference. It should be at least 1000px wide for best results. (The one that comes with the template is 2000px wide.)
Images on the muse roster are roughly around a 5:3 ratio. They will resize based on width, so don't worry about exact size other than matching them with each other by ratio. They work best if they are at least 360px wide or greater.
The tall image in the muse bio template is at a 9:16 ratio. It will also resize based on width. If you make the bio longer, you may want a taller image, or to add another column to the container so it does not outgrow the image too much and make the spacing look weird. The image here will work best with the current spacing if it is at least 450px wide or greater.

001. PROLOGUE Hi! Thanks for taking the time out of your day to read this page. It means a great deal to me that you show such courtesy. The following text is here merely as a “get to know me” more so than a strict rule setting. Nonetheless, I appreciate you being here and hope you enjoy reading my content. 002. BASICS This is a no-frills, multi-muse page for a variety of my original characters. A majority of these characters are based in a fantasy setting - final fantasy xiv specifically - and exist as my current roster of active characters available to write and plot with. 003. CREDITS These characters are my own designs and creations, built in the world of Final Fantasy XIV. Anything referencing Final Fantasy XIV belongs to Square Enix. All artwork has been used with express permission and can be removed at any time upon request - no questions asked. This template is credited throughout the carrd. Thank you to all.

004. INTERACTION To put it simply: I am open to roleplaying with anyone and everyone so long as they are of age (21+). I am super old school when it comes to interactions so, honestly, just poke me if you’re at all interested and we can work to figure something out. If you’ve any idea at all - a plot you’d like to develop or a simple interaction to get things going - don’t hesitate to contact me. Very rarely have I declined. 005. CONTENT All content warnings are listed at the top of this page for easy reference, alongside some points/people of interest for world-building. I am 21+ and all of my characters are as well, and while I don't intend to write exclusively NSFW or triggering content I do like to explore common themes that exist in the universe they are a part of: war, conflict and so on. I go into detail about the character's themes and potential triggers in the link above, so I highly recommend taking a look through that. Do note however that low-stakes, slice-of-life RP is certainly something I enjoy just as much as deeper topics. 006. WRITING The length of my writing can vary, though I tend to write multi-paragraph replies. I am content with any length of reply; I’d much prefer you to be comfy with what you write than have you try to force out words to match my own word count. I am the same when it comes to my own replies, so no pressure at all on that front. Far as I'm concerned, if we're both having a good time then that's what's important!

ETIQUETTE Nothing that isn’t expected: OOC does not equal IC; my characters’ reactions and thoughts do not reflect my own; no god-modding or metagaming of any kind will be accepted unless discussed prior. I'm not particularly fussed about whether a character is canon-compliant/lore-adhering: you can explain just about anything in fantasyland, so I'm always willing to give it a go! I personally strike a balance between adhering to known lore and equally exploring some new ideas in what is ultimately a fantasy-based sandbox. In short, I’m quite open to just about anything - I just ask for some basic respect in turn. 008. WRITER Hi - again! Most people call me Sarah or Beau, but I’m fine with anything. I like playing games and writing, and conveniently with this hobby I can do both! I work full time in the games industry so I'm often very busy, but always happy to chat. An elezen who, more times than not, is asked whether the horns are in fact real. A man with quite the renown, yet few people really know much of anything about Alaric - save for a few facts: he is a magic user; he was once a teacher - rumoured to be of Sharlayan origin - and he has a penchant for death, dying and decay.

APOLLO DEVEREAUX — she / her

She is a woman rarely seen for reasons beyond business, and one would hope that should they see her visage they are expecting her presence. Unintentionally (one would hope) intimidating, Apollo holds a reputation for one thing only: should she agree to complete a job for you, the job will be done with a ruthless efficacy.

BABSWYS BLOELAKWYN — she / they

Babs, as she prefers to be called, is primarily known for her vessel: The Leviathan's Chase. Though the name might suggest danger, she dabbles only in mercantile deliveries. Her reputation is a clouded one, however, after the fate which befell her former crew.

Were you to have a default image in your head of an adventurer, doubtless Beau would be the person to pop into your mind. She has recently taken on the mantle of running her own Adventurers' Guild in Ishgard - aptly named The Guiding Light - and is always willing to offer a hand to those who need it. Kind; courteous; courageous. The Highlord is all too eager to hear of your tales or inquiries.

Eos is well-versed in the pomp and circumstance befitting courts and, for those who are as equally versed in the world's political climes, her references are most impressive: ranging from the courts of the Mad King of Ala Mhigo to the throne room of the former Emperor of Garlemald. She carries herself with the grace befitting her accolades as she searches, currently, for a new line of work.

Faewynn wants one thing and one thing only: to be remembered. Part of a well-known family based in Ul'dah, the young elezen often finds herself involved in antics surrounding mayhem, madness and debauchery - all in the name of a good story to tell over hearthfire.

Once a promising Centurion in the Garlean Empire, Laurence now lives a much simpler life in Shirogane. As knowledge of his homeland has surfaced, he has chosen to support the Populares in their endeavours as the world looks to a life without conflict with the man's former nation.

Lyna is the embodiment of a free spirit. A curious spellcaster - a conjurer, she claims - who is known to frequent the world's cities, villages and safe havens offering healing services and aid wheresoever they may require it. Always accompanied by some manner of creature, the wandering woman comes and goes to offer services and succour for those in need.

A kindly woman who has taken residence in the Shroud as a sanctuary and supplier of simple services. She calls herself a sage and offers - to any who wish it - guidance through the use of tarot cards and natural healing remedies. She is a motherly figure; a comfort to many who meet her, as she appears to know everything there is to know about them before they have even spoken. A fine talent for a healer to have...

MILES DREHER — he / they
— THE TROUBLESOME TROUBADOUR —
A young Veena who knows not the life of those like him nor the life of those surrounding him. Miles was taken in by a fleeing Ishgardian noble and raised in a hustling, bustling shop front. Perhaps it is ironic that he found inspiration in the magitek and machines that had taken his own family from him, but his tinkering kept him out of trouble and the troubadour has since garnered a reputation for a more eclectic style of performative art.

MINK DIETRICH — any / all

A frail, sickly girl of noble descent, cast aside for reasons neither she nor her family fully understood. She rebuilt herself and her name from the ground up and now, thrust unceremoniously into a new land, finds herself in the position of having to do so again. Such a prospect seems to posit no such concern for the young heiress, however. She seems all too confident in her capabilities.

Moonwhisper is a known socialite, and often frequents events surrounding persons within higher society. How he himself got to such a station is a story unknown, though many appreciate his company all the same, due in no short part to his soft-spoken nature and charm.

Once part of an esteemed noble Ishgardian high house, Niklaus has branched out from his family's riches and set up shop in the Goblet, hoping to leave his family's storied history well behind him - though he holds secrets of his own, all the same. His is a bleeding heart that hopes, someday, to raise family of his own... perhaps in the hopes of restoring honour to a name once renowned, now sullied by his father (and, times, his siblings') acts.

Character Study: Alaric Swailes

He is known as Alaric Swailes. Owner of the pop-up bar known as Corde Rossi - or Red String - which boasts a reputation for long waiting lists and impeccable (if rather intimate) service.It is not his first foray into this world, but it's certainly the one that he is most known for. After all, how could tales of an ever-changing venue, offering stories and magicks and trinkets beyond the mind's prior comprehensions not strike the fancy of studious scholars and eccentrics from around the Star?Though an interesting and rather outgoing character, few people leave his establishment with any knowledge about himself, rather they typically piece threads together from the scraps he offers in conversation. As is his intention, of course - to be a mystery to unfold for the masses - and he insists: delve if you must. He is certain you will find something undoubtedly tantalising.

Born to a minor but influential noble house, the young woman - in typical circumstances - would have grown up to learn all about the customs, trials and tribulations of any that would one day inherit a house's power and prestige. To take the family name and grow it yet further. To continue a legacy left behind by her parents and their parents before them. So says tradition, at least.For young Mink, however, the world had other ideas.From the moment she was born she was... different. Not enough to warrant immediate concern, by any means, but as her formative years progressed so too did her hereto unseen affliction. What was initially deemed as a talent and a gift befitting the most powerful of magi by her elf and drahn parentage quickly developed into a growing concern and, eventually, outright paranoia within the wider community. Swirls of black and gold peppered her body and the girl's visage grew pale, frail and sickly as the days progressed.Such was an affliction her parents and house alike brushed aside, citing the unique union of their family as the primary reason and that aught else need not be a concern. When the young heiress turned five summers, however, the girl's outburst that led to an incursion of creatures unknown came as the final straw for the voeburtites.

For better or worse, she was deemed a threat... and her family had no choice but to respond in kind.
